My Nursery organization on a budget/ tips and tricks!

Since I found out I was pregnant the first things I wanted to make sure was that I spent my money wisely, there's so many baby products out there that I wanted so bad. Budgeting has always been a huge part of me since I had my first job. I wanted to make sure I got all the things I needed for my first baby and good quality as well. After tons of research on Pinterest, YouTube, and the web I knew what I wanted and starting going to Tj maxx, ross, home goods, Burlington, amazon and tons more of places to shop . I have another blog post of my first baby checklist if you want to check that out I go into more detail there. Some of these are DIYS I created and some are purchases I made.

1. DIY Drawer dividers:

(Example of the dividers looked like)

After research I knew I wanted to buy these so bad not only for my baby's room but mine also, on the internet these were anywhere from $15 to $20 per set of 3 dividers! This DIY cost me only $3 since I had the scissors, tape, and box at home, then I just bought wrapping paper at marshals for $2.99.

What you will need:

Clear tape
Scissors
Wrapping paper of any design you choose
Cardboard  (I saved a diaper cardboard box since I had a ton)
Measuring tape

How?

I finished this DIY in probably 30 mins depending on how many drawer you have I only had 3 and made 10 of these dividers

1.  Measure your drawer length and cut up how many dividers per drawer you want
2. Once you have the plain cardboard cut and measured to fit the drawer, start wrapping as if it were a present
3. Tape corners as if you were wrapping a present
4. Your all done now you just place then in the drawers how you want it I put 3 in each drawer
5. NOTHING ELSE! SO EASY

2. Labels :

I purchased these brown label tags at Joann's art store in the $1 section ! I've seen these everywhere and in variety of colors if you were wanting to try this out. Then the ribbon at the dollar tree.

What you will need:

Ribbon, string, rope ( your choice)
Glue gun and glue for gun (I had the mini one)
Sharpie or marker
Tape

Steps:

1.  As you can see in the pictures I labeled containers and cube storage bins, you can super glue them or  tie them with a ribbon, your choice.  I did a variety around the room.
2. Label them with a marker  and your done

3. Clear containers with labels & clothing size organizers:

I'm sure they have these at other stores in variety of colors I just saw the coral pink and didn't want to stop by another store lol Got these smaller ones for $3 per 3 pack and the bigger containers for $4 for a 2 pack. On the containers I had taped the labels, and super glued ribbon on bottom of labels just for the look of it. Another organizing tip that I personally love are these clothing size dividers newborn to a year old I purchased these on amazon here is the link. https://www.amazon.com/Closet-Dividers-Bouquet-Organizers-Flowers/dp/B06XFJ3P64/ref=sr_1_10_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1531422870&sr=8-10&keywords=child%2Bcloset%2Borganizer&th=1
4. Dresser changing table:

When I first found out I was pregnant I really wanted to purchase a changing table, but since I am trying to be budget friendly and knowing that my baby would grow out of it fast it wasn't really practical for me to get. I would rather spend that money towards other things I would need for her. I remembered my aunt saying she wanted to get rid of her dresser a long time ago but never got rid of the old one, I just asked her if I could have it and it worked out perfectly. Perfect size for small bedroom and didn't have to buy a dresser myself. If no one you know doesn't have an extra dresser, try goodwill's or any thrift store and could always end up being painted and fixed into looking brand new! No one will know! Later on I plan to repaint this dresser and reattach new knobs on the drawers, that will be a blog later on to read!
5. Pack and play with napper as a crib until older:

For me buying a crib on my budget was not a must have for at least 2-3 months after having my baby, I knew I could pass up a crib for now and use the pack and play we got from our baby shower. Another reason why I didn’t purchase a crib right away was for the first month we chose to co sleep with a portable napper pad that lays on our bed and when we aren't using it, it folds up, very easy to use and it worked perfect for us, especially during the first month. Now my baby is about 7 weeks old and we only use it sometimes. 6. Cube slot organizers:

This is one of my favorite furniture pieces of my nursery, it holds a bunch of things, affordable, can substitute it instead of a dresser, overall it just looks very clean and nice in all rooms. 7. Used rocker chair:

I'm super grateful I had gotten this as a gift from my aunt, she had said it was used but it looks like its in perfect condition. At target or Walmart these run from $140 and up depending on the style.

8. Hair station :
First picture I had bought an arrow wall décor piece from ross for a couple bucks, ended up throwing all her hair bands on it. Second picture shown above is a DIY picture frame that I will do a complete different blog on. It's very cheap and easy to do ! There was some of my ideas for my nursery room on a budget, there was a ton more I could post, eventually I will do a part 2! If any questions or recommendations comment below or email me I would love to hear your ideas or thoughts, I love to switch up my décor ideas and try new things.
