How to drink a gallon of water a day and not get tired of it?!
Are you a soda drinker, Kool aid, love sugary drinks or just sometimes forget about water? If so Keep reading, I’m 21 years old and will say growing up didn’t like the taste of water and just got bored of it. I didn’t start caring about my water intake until about 2 years ago, when I got inspired by fitness. I started out by researching how much water I should be drinking and why, slowly I started off with water bottles and drinking them more often, that didn’t really inspire me to want to drink more water, what I did that started to work was buying cute water jugs and filling it with a ton of ice! Might sound stupid to some people but there’s just something about big cute water bottles that made me want to drink it and bring it with me anywhere I go. Try it out, and see if that helps you like It did for me! So after doing that for a couple of months, the boring water made me crave soda! It wasn't until last year I did a bikini competition, a strict diet is key there was no giving in to sugary drinks or juices or else I would not get to my goal weight by the time my competition started. That’s when Mio liquid drops changed my life lol! At first it still didn’t sound as good as an ice cold soda but the key is to just avoid the soda and use any zero or low calorie drinks such as crystal light, lemon water, Mio drops, there’s so many brands out there try them and see what ones you like most!
Choices :
- Lemon water
- Mio liquid drops
- Crystal light
- Wyler's light powder
- Tea
- branch chain amino acids (Bcaas good for active people)
Tips:
I’m a goal type of person, if you are as well try setting a realistic goal for yourself each week, as in the first week drink half a gallon then the next week try to drink the whole gallon. Ease your way into it first!
-Chug as much water first thing in the morning before coffee !
-Drink (16) 32 fl oz. of water before each meal (also helps with overeating !)
-Cute water bottles or jugs!
-Lots of ice!
-Always have your water gallon or bottle with you wherever you go
-If you use a gallon you can mark it with a sharpie with times to have water finished
-Don't give into sugary drinks
-If your a coffee or tea drinker avoid sugar, if you have to use sugar free creamers or substitute for Splenda
- stock up try to never run out!
Bottle Ozs how many to = a gallon?
- 8 fl oz. - You will have to drink (16) of 8 oz.
- 16.9 fl oz. - You will have to drink (7) of 16.9 oz.
- 28 fl oz. - You will have to drink (6) of 28 fl oz.
- 64 fl oz. -You will be drinking About (3 ½ ) of 64 fl oz.
Here I converted the fl oz. of different sizes of bottles into gallons so you have an idea of what goals to set for yourself.
In the end the more you drink water the more natural it will seem and sooner or later you will get used to it! Till this day at times water gets boring at times so I’m always testing out different flavors and searching on Pinterest for ideas.
