What I eat in a day new mom edition:
Fast and Easy are keywords for me being a new mom, I split up my meals between carbohydrates, protein and fats. I’m gonna be honest since my baby is still a newborn eating perfect and super healthy haven't been so easy but here’s what I'm eating to ease my way into a healthier lifestyle. Before my pregnancy eating healthy was a huge part of my life and postpartum I plan to get back to that lifestyle. Keep in mind I'm not tracking the macros of my meals, I'm watching what I eat and in moderations.
Tip: Before EACH meal/snack chug 32 oz water to help make you full and get your water intake in for the day!
Breakfast:
Carb: Half whole grain bagel with half a grapefruit
Fats: reduced fat cream cheese
Protein: coffee, scoop protein powder and fat free coffee vanilla creamer
Snack:
Chocolate covered homemade pretzels
Chug down 32 oz water
Dinner:
Carbs: jasmine rice, black beans
Fats: avocado
Protein: lemon chicken
Dessert:
Half frozen banana with light whip cream
As you can tell I have a big sweet tooth today lol
This is just one day of my meals, As a breastfeeding mom I tend to get hungry more often and try to eat healthy to help with milk lactation. I eat different things everyday and try to drink a gallon of water a day, often I fail at it lol. Later on I will go into depth about flexible dieting and what's my approach to it. Down below I listed a couple apps I use if I want to check the macros of my meals or even track my water intake.
Apps:
Lifesum
Myfitnesspal
Fatsecret
Water reminder
